  2. This is kind of tricky… I managed to get almost all redirects correct, except this one:

    /wp-rss2.php

    and that’s the one most of my readers are using, But I’ll eventually solve that one (hopefully) :-)

  3. In response to Mikael’s concern, you can drop the RewriteCond directive and just do:

    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule wp-rss2.php http://feeds.feedburner.com/...

  6. confused, i edit .htaccess in the root directory of my site where index.php and /textpattern are located and add

    RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^rss=1$
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://feeds.feedburner.com/Red91com/rss? [R,L]

    and i keep getting error 500 internal server errors?

    am i sticking the redirect in the wrong file or is it likely i don’t have permissions to do this?

    any ideas?

  7. oh, yes yes yes!

    so easy, went to Lisa site with the link you posted and looked in the page source, found the ‘alternate’ rss feed code in the header, changed it to point to my feedburner feed,

    and bam!

    now i have a feed icon appear in my address box in firefox!

    good enough for me,

  8. Textpattern seems a good alternative to WP. it is more flexible than WP.I wish they make an update to the script. It’s been 8 months since the last update.
